The Maori believed that, Paikkea was ancestor to Maori, and he found the new land"
byOne day, Paikea travelled by his boat.
but... his boat upseted,....
He fell into the ocean. he yelled louder and louder.
There was a big whale came and saved his life.
The Whale carried him to a land. It's New Zealand that we call, today.
Then, Maori dwelt in there, and had their families.
